KCMI Station Manager Search

 

97.1 FM Hope Radio is accepting applications for the position of station general manager. We are seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate, stable, approachable, organized, and eloquent professional to guide us with a vision for the future in bringing local Christian programming to our audiences.

Education and Experience

Three years of broadcasting experience. Seven years of management experience.  An applicant may substitute up to 4 years of accredited post-secondary education. Military experience may substitute for a year-to-year basis with a minimum of 2 years of civilian management experience.

Candidates who demonstrate a past history of managing FCC compliance will be highly sought after. All applicants who demonstrate, with evidence, an ability to learn quickly and to be resourceful in learning about FCC compliance will also be considered for this position.

Daily Duties & Past Experience Requirements

  • Maintaining compliance with FCC regulations as a full-service commercial C1 station

  • Leading Christian ministry

  • Budgeting, capital projects, facilities management, and improvement

  • Contract management

  • Interfacing with donors, advertisers, listeners, community members, and church bodies

  • Setting goals and making station policies

  • Preparing for board meetings

Occasional Duties

  • Determining on-air programming as well as performing some on-air work as requested

  • Troubleshooting equipment and thinking fast

  • Managing volunteers

  • Writing station updates in the Cross Times newspaper
